In order to apply for citizenship, you need to collect a complete set of documents in accordance with the requirements of the Slovenian Ministry of the Interior. All documents issued outside Slovenia must be translated into Slovenian and notarized. You need to submit a certificate of citizenship, photograph and fingerprints. The state duty is 25.95 EUR. A foreign passport is issued through the Slovenian Ministry of Interior, consulate or embassy. The documents are similar to those submitted for a personal card. The fee for adults is 50.67 EUR, valid for 10 years. If necessary, a tax number (Davčna številka) is also issued, which is required for employment or starting a business.
